With Apologies

If you haven't noticed, RedState has been experiencing server issues for the past couple of weeks, brought to a boil by the increased readership during the Supreme Court speculation.

Early this morning we blew a gasket and we Clayton has been working hard to get us back up and running.

Our apologies for the delay.

Update [2005-7-31 13:37:53 by Clayton]:

For the curious, our hosting company NAC.net took 19 hours to replace a motherboard and add 1G of RAM to our server. Yes, it's inexcusable. We're taking our business elsewhere, and I thought you should know it. Compounding the problem, we were visiting family in Birmingham this weekend and had lots of things to do, so I was unable to yell and scream at NAC as I usually do. Thanks for your patience.

The DKos crowd seemed like they were getting lonely without to kick around.  I haven't been posting much in the past few days, but I'll be happy to chip in again with a little money toward the end of this coming week.  Glad you're back.

I was wondering why RS wasn't working, thought it was my browser, heh

Anyway, I have a quick question, and had no idea where else to get it answered, since I couldnt find it in the FAQ

Is there a way to search through old news stories/diaries? I can't seem to find a search button

thanks

I Google it, using "redstate" as one of my search terms.  The whole site seems to be indexed.

If you click on "Your Comments" you will be taken to a search page where you can choose categories and enter keywords.  The native Scoop search functionality isn't as powerful as Google, but it works fairly well if you have an idea of what you're looking for.

Or could it be? by SteveLA

"We cannot get the shields back in less than an hour, Captain. The Kossack attack cracked our DiLithium crystal, and there's Liberal claptrap leaking everywhere. Engineering bay is full of it."

All with a Scottish accent of course.

Kudos to Clayton and others. In internet time it seemed a while, in World Wide World time, it was nothing.
