Sean Treglia, he of

service of discrediting research and data funded by politically motivated liberal
foundations)
Of late, Treglia has been
href="http://philanthropy.com/free/articles/v17/i16/16003702.htm">shrieking a bit
about bloggers.
"They remind me of the lonely misanthropic men I see on thebeach where I live each morning with metal detectors and headphones combing for hidden
treasure buried just beneath the surface of the sand. Occasionally they raise their voice
to interact with civilized society by shaking around a bag full of dented old cans and
worthless rusted slugs claiming in some incoherent manner that they found treasure that
no one else was crafty enough to locate. Of course, we all know the bag is filled with
garbage. Just like the noise being made by some bloggers about my
remarks."
Lucky for us, we have no shortage of people to apply brick to head
on this one.
- Bob Bauer,
"Treglia is at once missing crucial points and misstating others."
- href="http://tapscottscopydesk.blogspot.com/2005/05/former-pew-meister-sean-treglia-joins
.html">Mark Tapscott
, "I dunno know, maybe the first law of logic - that which is Acannot be non-A - is due for revision, thanks to Sean Treglia."
- Winfield Myers,
"This attempt to cover his backsides, which area of his anatomy Mr. Treglia himself chose to expose, results in contortions that are as ineffective in achieving their desired end as they are painful to watch, or to imagine when transferred to anatomical metaphor."
- Ryan Sager, "For all of Treglia’s accusations, he can’t point to one fact wrong in the story."
To borrow a phrase from Jonah Goldberg - Sean, you buy the spoon, I'll buy the highchair. Your whining is so over.

He even manages to insult hobbyist-beachcombers. Those people aren't antisocial, or misanthropic - they can't hear you with their headphones on.
What's next, suggesting birdwatchers are voyeurs with tendencies towards bestiality?
If Treglia would think that Powerline just posts "garbage" - they blew the lid off one of the biggest scandals in TV reporting in recent years...
