Mark Kilmer's post on Joe Wilson was mentioned on Rush Limbaugh's show earlier. And then we got some interesting fan mail.

What's really funny about that email is that this poor bastard listens to Rush Limbaugh. What a pathetic life he must lead. He hates Republicans/Conservatives, yet he spends 3 hours everyday listening to the King of all Conservatives?
. . . The email when Fitzgerald indicts Wilson-Plame and the CIA guy for running the scam. Redstate will need body guards.
First the hate mail. Then Maureen Dowd will be writing a book about RedState. Next Al Gore will be calling RS a bunch of Digital Brown Shirts. Then Harry Ried will be calling us "losers." Next Michael Moore will make a "documentary" about RS...and...then...and...then...we will all be indicted.
The madness!
Heh!
Is the vocabulary challenged person quoted talking about anything that has to do with the real world?
I feel compelled to point out the obvious - that the eloquent writer could not have actually read the original post, or he would have noted that the entire point of it was that the "outing" was not retaliation against Wilson, it was retaliation against the CIA in general. Hence, Wilson's trip timeline is irrelevant.
To be honest, it sounds kind of lame to me as a theory. But what a lovely defining symbol of the modern left, to respond to it with a 5-expletive message. That may impress the hirsute gals on campus, Bud, but it won't get you too far on a site with - honestly - remarkable integrity.
....but I don't think you'll sway the lemming. It's hard to stop a mindless stampede; just wait till Wilson gets indicted and the lemmings stampede themselves off a cliff.
Then it gets really fun...... ;-)
I think the username "DIPSO" pretty much says it all.
Do you realize that you have publicly revealed the Plame Asterisk?
...at the emailer's rather blatant homophobia.
Does anybody know what George Stephanopoulos was doing about 3:30p today? Perhaps 'working his blackberry', giggling to himself....
if the target was CIA or Wilson. Doesn't matter if they knew Plame's real function or not. It put HUMINT in danger, lowered our chances to find out real WMD stuff, and increased our risk. All for partisan political purposes. Doing that lowers the morale of all operatives and puts the country at risk. It can't be overlooked.
is obviously in cahoots with the terrorists!
He is probably in on the UN Oil for Food Scandal.
I can't believe anyone would give credence to anything
that he says.
It is so obvious that Wilson hates America and Dick Cheney.
Obviously this email is very rude and not very intelligent.
But I just wanted to say...Anyone who is predicting Wilson will be indicted, will be very embarrassed tomorrow.
I mean I know, the media has limited knowledge of what fitzgerald is up too...but it still shocks me that there are people here, who do not have enough of intuitive compass about current events to honestly believe the media is COMPLETELY wrong. I mean there are enough facts out there, to rule out the "wilson is target theory", or at least put it into the category of very unlikely wishfull thinking.
Poor George, you shouldn't attack him. You're talking about somebody who has got almost no friends anymore. He was too liberal for the Clinton administration, which labeled him a "commentraitor" for the things he said while working for ABC News.
So, naturally, he's not very popular with Republicans either, because he tends to get a little too opinionated sometimes on This Week and remains a veteran of the Gephardt, Dukakis, and Clinton campaigns.
Besides, he starred in an award-winning film. I don't know how many of you have seen The War Room, but it's an unbelievably good movie, though be forewarned that I have very low and uncommon standards when it comes to what a good movie is.

Talk about scare tactics!
Howard Dean will go on Russert to complain about the mean spirited partisanship of Redstate, And then Krugman will write an article about "virtual hate".
Given the Democrats' recent performances in Milwaukee and Washington state, I find it humorous that a Lefty would bring up the rule of law.
He just forgot to put,
Best regards,
"USELESS PIECE OF S***"
The targets of the "Media" and the left will never be themselves, they could never stand the harsh glare of reality. Judith was trying to make attonement points for her support of the evidence of WMD before the war in her own crowd by pointing the finger where she thought would do HER the most good "THE EVIL REPUBLICANS!!!". The seriousness of the charge does no good in a Grand Jury when you can't back it up with evidence.
words, as that missive shows us.
My own doubts about Niger and Yellow Cake arose, oddly enough, from an e-mail I received from their neighboring Nigerians. It seems that someone important from Nigeria had been desposed then passed away. His nephew had a rather sizable quantity of cash desposited in various bank accounts, and they wanted to use mine to help them sneak it away from the bad guys. They offered me a large reward (seven figures).
I wish I had been listening to Mr. Limbaugh's show this afternoon. EIB.
Must be tough being too lib for a Democrat administration, although one immediately sees how comfortably he fits into a MSM newsroom (and not even as a leftist pundit but as a 'neutral' newsie..)
All I can say is, I hope he's backing the Miers nomination......
Well, I am all about low-grade trashy movies, so I may have to give it a whirl.
I got that e-mail first!
Keep your hands off of my money, sucka!
Stephanopoulos left the Clinton administration saying Hillary was the only liberal in the house. Let's see if he changes that story now that Hillary wants to be President in her own right.
Someone really should keep Howard Dean away from the computer.
I can agree with you with respect to the target issue. If Rove, Libby, or anyone else for that matter intentionally revealed the name of someone they knew to be a covert agent for whatever motive, then they are guilty of a crime.
With regard to "Plame's real function", however, it matters quite a bit (under IIPA) whether or not 1) she met the legal requirements to be considered a "covert agent", and 2) the leaker had prior knowledge of her covert agent status. It is not a crime to reveal the name of someone who works at the CIA; if it were, then Fitzgerald's GJ would be busy indeed, indicting every politician, bureaucrat, and journalist who ever uttered the name on Goss, Tenet, etc.
I have friends that worked for the Agency in non-operative positions, and have mentioned them by name on numerous occasions -- are you suggesting that I've somehow endangered HUMINT, and am worthy of prosecution?
just a couple of people (more or less) answering some reporters' questions, accurately, honestly, and most of all, legally. Nobody was endangered.
Know any examples of HUMINT damage? How about decreased morale?
I read the original article, but I also interpreted the timeline as being incorrect. Perhaps I just misread it, or perhaps the writing was not very clear about just what the proposed sequence was.
To quote:
So we have Cheney directed Libby to leak Valerie Flame's [sic] name of a covert op in order to harm the CIA, but it was really about getting revenge on Joe Wilson for a trip he had not yet taken...
I presumed that the "Cheny directed Libby" event would have been around the July 2004 timeframe. Wasn't Wilson's trip much earlier?
I remember thinking when I first read this, "Ah, well, I guess the right is having its own Juan Cole time-travel moment."
So, while the hate mailer was in a full on Bush-hating tantrum, I think his original assessment of the date confusion was on target.
Yeah. RS will be indicted for "hiding the salami".
No matter how I contort my mind to match the mind of The Screamer, I can't figure out what he meant when he said that.
to see that there are still level headed moderates in the Democratic party, literate too. All kidding aside this is basically what the Faithful have come to. None dare call it insanity.

Copyright law? Are you a lawyer? We have real issues to worry about.

I guess some "sports" fans can't afford the expensive (and made up) pro-wrestling pay-per-view matches, so they just settle for watching free (and made up) political scandals. Notice that some (your emailer) like the dirty players best.
